How to buy
On your first visit to TruckAuctionWorld.com we recommend you register ASAP to receive your bidding privileges. In order to bring buyers exclusive and in-demand vehicles from some of the largest global companies we take great care in vetting prospective bidders for our auctions.
Buyers unknown to TAW may be required to pay a £500 fully refundable bidding deposit.
Those buyers outside the UK are required to pay a £1000 fully refundable bidding deposit
At registration you may also be required to supply details including company registration number and VAT number. We may also require other identification including a copy of your passport, photo driving licence and proof of address.
In addition to the sale price, the winning bidder is charged a 10% buyers premium. Vat at standard UK rate is charged unless otherwise stated or agreed in writing.
Build a list of assets you want to bid on – contact us with any questions you may have.
You will often see a TAW inspected logo. This is evidence that TAW have visited the asset and TAW have visually inspected and photographed it. (please note, we do not carry out mechanical checks)
When the auction gets underway
Bid on each lot using the HARD BID or AUTO BID feature.
Keep a close eye on the lot and your email – you don’t want to miss out if you get outbid!
NOTE: When a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of the time the lot is advertised to end, the lot time is extended by 5 minutes. This will continue until competitive bidding ceases.
When the lot comes to an end
If you are the winning bidder – you will be notified that you've been successful and invoices for the asset. You will be requested to arrange payment in full within 2 working days. Once funds are received in full, the vendor will be paid for the assets and TAW will instruct the vendor to release the assets. TAW will advise the buyer of the location of the assets so that they can arrange for collection.
If you are the highest bidder but have not met the reserve, we will contact you to discuss your bid and negotiate on your behalf with the seller.
